Novel “Journey to the West”
Sun Wukong, along with his master Tang Sanzang and fellow disciples Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing, embarked on the journey to the West to retrieve the scriptures. Along the way, they encountered a series of perilous adventures, battling demons and monsters. Sun Wukong’s keen eyesight and ability to transform into seventy-two different forms often proved invaluable, helping them overcome numerous obstacles. During their quest, they encountered the beautiful but treacherous Kingdom of Women and rescued villagers captured by demons. However, the journey was not without challenges. Sun Wukong was once imprisoned under the Five Finger Mountain for five hundred years until he was eventually liberated by Guanyin Bodhisattva. Ultimately, they successfully obtained the scriptures and returned to the Tang Dynasty in the East, completing the legendary journey of the “Journey to the West.”
